Western PA Announces Scholarship
51ÁÔÆæ of Western PA is awarding a $1,500 education scholarship for college sophomores or juniors studying metallurgy or materials science. This scholarship is part of the Commercial Heat Treater of the Year Award recently awarded to 51ÁÔÆæ of Western PA by the Metal Treating Institute (MTI) in cooperation with Industrial Heatingmagazine.
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
1. Be a current college or university sophomore or junior who plans to enroll in a full-time field of study at an accredited two or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school located in the United States for the entire 2013 -2014 academic year and majoring in the field of metallurgy or materials science.
2. Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.
3. Applicant must demonstrate a desire to have a career in the field of metallurgy, materials science.
4. Applicants may not be related to any 51ÁÔÆæ staff for this presents a conflict of interest.
